A Sneak From a Very Happy Girl!

I spent yesterday home sick, so I figured it was as good a day as any to update my Facebook relationship status.
Little did I know how overwhelmingly enthusiastic the world seems to be about my love life.
So I suppose it's time to introduct those of you who aren't on Facebook (or who don't pay any attention to it), to Josh.
 
As I mentioned in my last post, I've been seeing Josh for almost 2 months now.
It's still very new, but it has so far been very intense and very lovely and very real.
And I am very happy.
Josh didn't quite know what he was getting into dating a scrapper until our relationship status got 40 or so 'Likes' within a couple of hours.
Poor soul.

Being home sick also gave me the opportunity to try and create something!
I was in that sick stage where focus is kind of elusive, but I managed to get a start on a page that I'm really liking so far, and hoping to get finished in the next day or so.
Here's a sneak.
 
It's using the photo above and I'm really loving all the little bits of whimsy in the embellishments and the doodling.
I haven't doodled on a page in so long!
I hope to be back in the next couple of days to show you the finished product!

This Busy Busy Month So Far

I've had a few comments over the past couple of months that I've been a bit absent from my blog nad haven't been creating quite as much as usual.
It's true, I've been super slack as a blogger, facebook is far easier to update from my phone on the go and it seems I am constantly on the go at the moment!
So here's a few 'on-the-go' snaps of what I've been up to this month!
 

1. World, meet Josh. Josh is the boy I've been seeing (well, man, not boy. He's nearly 31).
Josh is a barista, we met in a cafe, and we're a little bit smitten with each other (and yes, I promise a better/clearer photo for you nosy types when I get a chance!)
2. Did I mention the barista has a pretty mean record collection?!
3. I was lucky to celebrate my birthday last weekend with most of my family around, starting with lunch in the Docklands with the person who most loves my Instagram addiction, Kane.
4. Birthday celebration #2 has been a tradition since I was about 14 - Disney on Ice. The fact that we're still doing it now I'm 27 is yet more proof of how awesome my family are.
5. Something I'm finding a little hard to get used to with Josh is being treated like an absolute princess. After 6 years of being told not to act like a princess (no disrespect to Jesper, I often NEEDED to be told not to act like a princess), it's very different.
6. Birthday outfit! Sometimes I just love what I'm wearing that day - Alannah Hill tights are always a favourite!
7. New Peter Pan - those of you who know me, know how happy this makes me!
8. Speaking of Jesper, he tried to outplay me at Scrabble with this (yet wouldn't allow my 'Vengabus'), can you beleive the cheek?!

And that's my first half of July - I still have dinner with my brother, birthday celebrations with my girlfriends, a date to update the barista's wardrobe, a trip to the circus, a day at the football AND a catch up planned with some very special scrappy girls to go!
